About Yorkville Sports Association
The Yorkville Sports Association (YSA) is one of the area’s leading providers of Adult Recreational Leagues for Softball, Flag Football, Kickball and Dodgeball as well as sponsoring special events such as Wifftoberfest, Flag Football’s Turkey Bowl and Pro Bowl.
Founded by Al Morales in 1978 with the goal of efficiently facilitating corporate softball leagues in New York City, the initial 6 softball teams has ballooned into over 350 teams, serving NYC and Westchester. Throughout their more than 35 years, YSA has been praised by professional softball associations for their quality, philanthropical contributions and services to the sport.
Comprehensive service is what makes YSA so successful. They take care of all scheduling (including playoffs and championships), provide game officials, championship trophies, and even an end of the season awards party. Players of all skill levels are welcome. Also, YSA was the first of its kind to offer open scrimmages which allow for free agent players to join an appropriate team. The high level of organization at YSA makes playing in their leagues fun and stress free.
In 2013, YSA began organizing softball leagues in Westchester. Games are played at the state-of-the-art Navajo Fields, located at the Yorktown Sports Complex. They offer fall, spring and summer leagues. Separate 20 plus coed and 50 plus coed leagues ensure that all adults can come out and play, have a good time, and get fit in the process. YSA’s commitment to providing teams and players with a fun and social environment made the first season a smashing success and the upcoming second season promises to be even better. Whether you have a team or are looking to join one, YSA is the perfect fit.
